SPIRITUAL(S)
Songs from the sacred liturgy to traditional African American spirituals
WASATCH CAMERATA • FALL 2025 CONCERT
From the soaring beauty of Renaissance motets to the heartfelt depth of African American spirituals, Spiritual(s) explores music of the spirit in all its forms. This program bridges sacred traditions and cultural voices, offering timeless messages of hope, longing, and joy.
Spiritual(s) was born from our desire to honor the ways music carries us through joy and through sorrow, across cultures and centuries. Each piece in this program opens a window into the human spirit: our need for light, belonging, and expression. In times of loss and unrest, music becomes a place of refuge and renewal. With Spiritual(s), we hope to create space for peace, hope, beauty, and community. We’ve chosen Sunday and Monday evenings for this performance intentionally, as these days are often a little more open for family gathering and reflection.
We would love for you to join us—and bring your friends, family, and neighbors.
“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.”
